New Delhi, April 30: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has condoled the demise of former Legal professional Basic Soli Sorabjee, calling him an distinctive authorized thoughts and an ideal scholar of the Indian structure.
“Deeply pained by the demise of India’s former Legal professional Basic and veteran jurist, Shri Soli Sorabjee,” tweeted Singh.
“He was an distinctive authorized thoughts and an ideal scholar of our structure. His providers to the nation will at all times be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved household,” he added.
Sorabjee died earlier on Friday morning on the age of 91. He’s survived by his spouse, two daughters and two sons.
Born on March 9, 1930, Sorabjee and was a champion of freedom of speech and expression.

Sorabjee had been honoured with Padma Vibhushan in 2003, for his contribution in direction of the defence of the liberty of expression and the safety of human rights. Sorabjee has held a number of workplaces in organisations of nationwide and worldwide reputation.
