250 tonnes coal sure for Bangladesh seized in Assam, 4 held

Guwahati, June 1: Assam Police on Tuesday seized round 250 tonnes of coal, which was being exported to Bangladesh from Meghalaya, violating official rules, officers mentioned.

Police mentioned that 4 individuals, together with three exporters, had been arrested for exporting the coal by the Sutarkandi land customs station in Assam’s Karimganj district.

Karimganj Superintendent of Police Mayank Kumar Jha mentioned that the exporters had no correct official paperwork whereas they had been carrying round 25-30 tonnes of coal in every truck towards the stipulated 8 tonnes.

A senior political chief can also be concerned within the commerce and he’s being interrogated.
