Military pays tributes to braveheart in Srinagar


Srinagar, June 5: The Military on Saturday in a solemn ceremony at 15 corps headquarters in Srinagar paid tribute to Sepoy Arun Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice on Friday at South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Maj Gen Anupam Bhagi, Officiating Corps Commander and all ranks paid homage to the gallant soldier.

The Military stated late Sepoy Arun Singh was on an Space Domination Patrol from Sedhau to Tangimarg, the place at 12.30 p.m., he slipped and fell into Vishwa river whereas crossing a wood bridge at Ada.

The soldier was swept downstream because of the quick present of the river earlier than he was lastly pulled out by troopers and civilians.

“He was instantly evacuated to Govt Hospital, Mazgam the place he was declared lifeless at 5.15 p.m.,” military stated.

Late Sepoy Arun Singh, was 26 years outdated and had joined the Military in 2016. He belonged to Village Gho Mangni of Pathankot Tehsil, Pathankot District in Punjab and is survived by his father and mom.

The mortal stays of Arun Singh have been taken for final rites to his native place, the place he can be laid to relaxation with full army honours.

“On this hour of grief, the Military stands in solidarity with the bereaved household and stays dedicated to their dignity and wellbeing,” military stated.
